There is a new diet regimen that is gaining popularity across the world known as the calorie shifting meal plan. As the name implies, it is a diet based on the theory that shifting your calories from meal to meal, from day to day, will trigger the appropriate metabolic response that will induce fat burning and thus rapid weight loss.
Calorie shifting differs from other diet regimens in that you are not restricting the quantity or the types of food that you eat. You can eat as much as you want from all four food groups while you are on this diet. The only caveat is that you must group your calories together in accordance with the pattern that is most conducive to fat loss.

I got a question this week from a triathlete struggling to build up mileage on his triathlon bike. This is a common challenge for triathletes. The trick here is to build mileage slowly and consistently. Here are some tips:
Remember to consult your physician before starting any fitness program.
1. Build up mileage slowly. Most triathletes are competitive by nature and they tend to push themselves to the limit. Out of frustration they might try to do a 4-hour bike ride when their longest ride before that is only a couple of hours. This is very risky and counterproductive.

MUSICAL EXERCISES -
Put on your favorite music and do some yoga! No need for slow, elevator music. Move to your favorite beat. Or pop on the headphones or earphones and grab your MP3 or cassette player or handheld PC and bike to a nearby park. Too cold or rainy? Then head to a mall or other enclosed area where you can walk. Caution: make sure you are alert while listening to music with headphones or earphones.

That most energizing and bold sport - snowboarding! Have
you ever tried it?
Take a mountain of snow, a big flat curved board, step on,
and whoosh! Off you go! You’re surfing the Earth! It’s
exhilarating to the max.
I really got into it when I moved to Colorado. I used to
live in Michigan. Yeah, there’s some skiing and
snowboarding in Michigan, and most of the northern states.
But when you’ve got real mountains, there’s just nothing
like it. Nothing I ever skiied in Michigan compared to the
slopes of Colorado. Nothing.
